The Admissions and Retail Manager is responsible for the following:

- Provide managerial leadership functions, encompassing workload coordination, schedule oversight, personnel coaching, and performance management for up to 50 seasonal employees in a hands-on fast paced environment.
- Ensure operational efficiency across areas including admission operations, field trips, special event ticketing, entry, attractions, on-demand customer service communications, guest inquiries, post-visit feedback and any area that may interact with guest experience.
- Execute and lead your team with suggestive selling and up selling techniques and providing accurate and current information regarding various product offerings and entitlements while meeting department goals.
- Providing relevant park information to guests as well as engaging in positive guest interactions with all guests.
- Have the drive and ability to create/design new products and execute procurement of those items.
- Ensuring that all personnel, facilities, and materials are in complete readiness for operation.
- Have the ability to alter production and employee needs with varying daily business volume and monitor all direct operating expenses for their cost center.
- Enforcing established safety practices and ensuring that all productivity and quality standards are maintained.
- Maintaining gift shop supplies par stock; completing requisition forms accordingly and completing physical inventories.
- Conducting meetings with their staff at regular intervals and complete all required forms and paperwork.
- Foster a team environment and develop future leaders by sharing knowledge and leading by example.
- Assist with creating and activating incremental revenue opportunities.
- Oversee and participate in park cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
- Work with third-party Revenue Partners to drive revenue.
- Oversee and participate in store changeouts, and in-park event setups if applicable.
- Create and adjust point of sale items, procedures, etc. from a technology standpoint without direction.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
**To perform the role of an **Admissions and Retail Manager ** **successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.**
- 3-5 years Customer service experience is required
- 3-5 years of training experience with a minimum of 50 staff members
- MUST have computer and POS knowledge, and experience with troubleshooting within a POS environment.
- Requires 5.5 day work weeks June through Mid August (weekends required)
- Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement.
- Second language a plus.
- Excellent phone skills are required
- Aptitude for numbers.
- Ability to work with a large team in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to change as required and respond to such change in a positive manner.
- Ability to work outdoors.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
