Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) has an immediate opening for an Executive Assistant to work out of our Garden Grove, CA office. PJI is the leading faith-based non-profit organization across the country, with 36 offices strategically placed coast to coast in 26 states, providing legal representation to clients—without charge—in defense of religious freedom, parental rights, the sanctity of life, and other civil liberties.

**Purpose of the Position**

The role of the Media Liaison is to strengthen the relationships with media outlets relevant to the strategic goals of the organization-leading to an increase in our distribution of radio/television and media stories pertaining to PJI’s mission. This person will operate with a high degree of independence in undertaking the duties of the position. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the role will collaborate with the Media/Marketing department to drive brand awareness and play an integral role in expanding PJI’s media reach.

**Media Liaison duties include**:

- Distribution of media materials including press releases, fact sheets, website copy, relevant media updates
- Liaising with journalists, media outlets and other media distributors
- Manage the schedule for PJI’s daily and weekly television programs, ensuring guests alignment with the organization’s mission as well as furthering opportunities for media collaboration
- Write and edit weekly radio scripts for PJI’s :60 and :30 program
- Coordination of media events and interviews
- Working with PJI officers in achieving major media and campaign objectives
- Contribute to expanding and developing press contacts and informing/engaging journalists and media outlets to the work of PJI
- Respond to a variety of daily requests for information and interviews, using established baselines
- Other media related initiatives as they come up from time to time

**Qualifications**:

- 1 or more years of experience in a media/marketing role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Calendar, Gmail, and an aptitude for learning new software and systems.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to organize and coordinate multiple concurrent projects.
- Basic knowledge of using/navigating CRMs.
- Self-driven with the ability to be team and mission-oriented.

**Requirement**
- Must have reliable transportation (10-20% travel)

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
