**_The opportunity_**

Manages the product development process from concept to customer for products and goods shipping to existing and new customers. Works with and leads cross-functional teams through full phase product development.

**_ The role_**
- Manages full phase development from concept creation, through item setup and development processes in a proactive manner to deliver profitable programs (seasonal gross margin analysis, discontinued exit strategies and SKU analysis).
- Works with Design team to develop color and style strategies specific to each product and season for existing and new product lines.
- Develops product strategies for new and existing programs by benchmarking the market, analyzing marketplace data, evaluating consumer feedback, and developing compelling product stories to communicate market trends, product features and benefits.
- Works alongside design team to build teamwork within Product Development and Manufacturing to successfully bring innovation to company market areas.
- Explores new opportunities by the utilization of innovative fabrications, raw materials and features/benefits.
- Understands customer(s) needs and product preferences, as well as an understanding of manufacturing capabilities.
- Maintains customer calendars and product development timelines and initiates product line development with creative and technical development team.
- Works with the Design team throughout the product development process, while managing the timeline for each season/product line.
- Leads product presentations with Marketing and Sales teams to best communicate consumer benefits and product strategies.
- Partners with Sales to create customer presentations and relay product strategies
- Works with sales groups to merchandise and analyze business, incorporating new plan-o-gram opportunities and product updates.
- Creates visual and physical customer presentations and presents product lines to internal and external customers. Works with customer product teams, branding teams, and manufacturing teams to place new items.
- Works alongside Design team to orchestrate fit sessions and ensure brand appropriate fit and construction.
- Works with costing team to ensure products meet corporate and customer financial targets.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

**_ The requirement_**

**Knowledge & Expertise**
- University degree and 10 years of relevant experience
- Degree in Textile and/or Apparel Merchandising, Retail and/or Apparel Management or related field highly preferred
- Knowledge of cut and sew or apparel market highly desirable
- PowerPoint or Canva proficiency require
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong planning and project management skills required
- Proven ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail, organization and decision-making ability
- Hearing is required in order to hear instructions, receive information from various sources, and understand safety warnings
- Vision is required in order to read instructions, interpret data, and formulate metrics and analytical data
