Water Remediation Technician

**Summary**:
The Water Remediation Technician performs remediation processes to fulfill the service needs of individual remediation projects and maintains the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment as well as all service vehicles. By providing quality, consistent, efficient work, the restoration technician represents the best in the cleanup and restoration industry.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Performs the unloading, placement, setup, takedown, and reloading of equipment on the jobsite.
- Operates and maintains power tools and other specialty remediation equipment.
- Performs monitoring activities such as daily equipment monitoring, checking equipment performance of small format equipment, checking and documenting atmospheric and materials readings, and documenting (in the form of a diary entry) their findings.
- Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project. Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Performs general demolition activities and board up services.
- Perform activities such as 3D geospatial structure scans.
- Performs restoration processes as directed.
- Follows applicable safety policies and procedures especially with mechanical systems with little or no supervision.
- Adheres to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
- Performs content manipulation of items within the work area.
- Performs end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
- Performs general cleanup activities including, but not limited to, hauling of debris to the approved waste receptacles, muck-out, and cleaning surfaces.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Demonstrate ability to work with other people.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English Language to communicate with others, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner. Multi or Bi-lingual language skills are preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform manual labor and follow directions.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds alone regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
- Comfortable working with/around cleaning products/chemicals with proper use of PPE
- Comfortable and able to wear a respirator

**Working Conditions**:

- Typical working hours are Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm, though occasional overtime and weekend availability is required.
- Fast-paced, high pressure work environment.
- Shifts are typically (8) eight working hours, though may vary depending on project size and scope, requiring occasional overtime.
- Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time with approximately eighty percent (80%) of the time in a standing or walking position.

**Compensation & Benefits**:

- Current Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification is Required
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record is Required

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
