The Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC) offers timely, effective, and supportive holistic services for the approximately 14,000 graduate and professional degree students at UCLA. The GSRC offers spaces for graduate and professional students to connect with their peers and engage in collaborative workshops and events that engage and support them throughout their post-baccalaureate degree lifecycle, including, but not limited to Graduate Student Orientation and Graduate Student Appreciation Week. GSRC provides guidance and connects academic graduate and professional students to academic, research and campus services that supports their success. The Director, working independently under the general direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Partnerships, is responsible for the strategic direction and operations to successfully lead an exemplary GSRC. The individual manages a team to engage graduate and professional students by establishing and maintaining effective networks and collaborations with on
- and off-campus partners to implement the vision, mission, and goals of the campus and GSRC. In partnership with the Director of the Graduate Writing Center, the GSRC Director manages the GSRC's physical, financial, and staff resources, assessments, and funding opportunities to advocate and advance effort to meet student needs.**Salary & Compensation**

**Qualifications**
- Experience leading a collaborative team to support graduate and professional degree students in a large, diverse university environment. (required)
- Independently prioritize tasks and organize workload to accomplish established objectives and assignments with mínimal direction. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to utilize fundamental counseling techniques to support student needs. (required)
- Budget management skills and ability to manage space, equipment and material resources. (required)
- Experience recognizing problems, explore alternatives, and offer solutions based on procedures or existing guidelines. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and supervise professional staff and student assistants. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to develop, assess, and adjust services and programs independently and through campus partnerships. (required)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with a diverse group of students, faculty, administrators and staff both individually and in group settings. (required)
- Ability to operate personal computer and requisite software, including Microsoft Office or comparable productivity software, to produce reports, presentations and correspondence. (required)
- Experience writing, editing and proofing correspondence and reports. Ability to design and utilize budget reports. (required)

**Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations**
- Master’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training (required)
- Doctoral degree in student affairs, higher education, or related areas (preferred)

**Special Conditions for Employment**
