The **Enterprise Architect **(EA)** will be a key contributor within the Digital Technology leadership team as an internal technology consultant. The EA will be responsible for building technology roadmaps and making appropriate recommendations with respect to technology investments, that will guide EDFR towards optimal business outcomes.

The EA will look to maximize value, whilst minimizing costs and risks, associated with the technology landscape/portfolio, and its implementation.

The EA will prioritize understanding the business needs and opportunities, collaborating with business leaders, to determine the best areas of focus for digital transformation and investment.

Through careful analysis of the current state architecture, combined with an ongoing awareness of the business needs/priorities, the EA will propose future state strategy and architectures with compelling rationale. The EA will provide support and guidance for strategies, roadmaps, standards, and best practices within targeted areas such as Enterprise Integration.

The EA will be engaged in medium and large initiatives to ensure the technology solutions and decisions are made within the context of the longer-term architectural strategy and enterprise-wide perspective.

**Responsibilities**:

- Update and refine the business capability model (current and future state)
- Map the current state technology capabilities and architecture to the business capabilities.
- Assess current state technology capabilities and architecture in terms of business value, risk, future readiness, cost of ownership etc.
- Identify, propose, and create technology strategy that aligns with strategic initiatives and goals, defines emerging technologies, and sets technology future state in motion.
- Identify, propose and obtain stakeholder buy-in of future state architectures and roadmaps.
- Own, refine and advise on the Enterprise Architecture principles, including build vs buy, cloud
- first, composability, automation, integration, etc.
- Review and assess emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Propose and build a case for enterprise-wide platforms, tools and services when appropriate.
- Support data strategy and alignment
- Support integration strategy and alignment

**Working Conditions**
- Up to 95% of the time is spent in the office or home office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. '
- Up to 5% of the time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.

Qualifications:
**Education/Experience**
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree in a STEM related field or equivalent experience

**Skills/Knowledge/Abilities**
- Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade business and IT leaders.
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), APIs, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
- Consulting expertise in aiding domain and solution architecture.
- Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.
- Understanding of the different types of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
- Understanding of existing, new and emerging technologies, and processing environments.
- Strong consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management and stakeholder management.
- Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Additional interest will be given for expertise in enterprise integration - strategy, architectural patterns, standards and roadmaps.

This role’s annual base salary range is between $130,000 and $216,500.
