Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain roast profiles for various coffee blends and single-origin beans.
- Operate and maintain roasting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the roasting process to maintain consistency and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimize roasting schedules and maximize efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in coffee roasting techniques.
- Train and mentor staff to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Participate in cupping sessions to evaluate coffee quality and identify areas for improvement.

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Master Roaster or Head Roaster in a high-volume coffee roastery.
- In-depth knowledge of coffee beans, including origins, varietals, and processing methods.
- Proficiency in roasting techniques, including drum roasting, airflow control, and temperature monitoring.
- Strong sensory evaluation skills with the ability to discern flavor nuances and defects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Roasting certification from a recognized institution is a plus.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
