Towing Vessel Mate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Towing Vessel Mate to join our team. As a Towing Vessel Mate, you will work closely with the Captain to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our towing vessels. This is a vital role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Captain in all aspects of vessel operations, including navigation, maneuvering, and docking
- Rig tow lines and other equipment as needed for towing operations
- Manage the loading and unloading of supplies or equipment onboard the vessel
- Monitor and maintain vessel systems, including mechanical, electrical, and navigational equipment
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Assist with emergency response procedures and drills
- Maintain accurate records of vessel operations and activities

**Experience**:

- Must have previous experience working on towing vessels or similar marine vessels
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively work with the Captain and crew members
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and address any equipment issues that may arise
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $400.00 - $550.00 per day

**Experience**:

- Towing Vessel: 5 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Merchant Mariner Credential with Mate of Towing Endorsement (required)
