Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our NY Cares school in Mt. Kisco, NY, this position is responsible for planning and administering medically-prescribed Physical Therapy under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist. They will complete all paperwork associated with assigned students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or programmatic needs, including, but not limited to: daily notes, monthly reports, quarterly reports, annual reviews, annual assessments, etc., under the direction of a License Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant will collaborate with teachers to support the classroom functioning of their assigned students and improving motor skills to the classroom environment. In addition, they will communicate with parents as needed to support their child’s generalization of skills to the home environment as appropriate.
**Salary**: $58,400+ annually, commensurate with education and experience

Qualifications:
**EDUCATION**: Physical Therapy license and eligibility to provide these services in NYS school settings
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants or other chemical substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending, and lifting of 70 or more lbs. is required.
