The Family Health Services Division of San Mateo County Health is seeking two Full-Time, regular **Community Program Supervisors to join its California Children Services (CCS) Program.**

California Children’s Services (CCS) is a State and County program for children and youth with special health care needs and CCS-qualifying medical conditions, from birth to age 21. As a medical case management program, CCS coordinates, authorizes, and provides diagnostic and treatment services for eligible children and youth, and in certain situations, may pay for medical services and equipment. The CCS program is also subcontracted by the Health Plan of San Mateo (HPSM) to administer the care coordination and utilization management for HPSM Whole Child Model (WCM) members.

Under the general direction of the CCS Administrator, the Community Program Supervisor will provide guidance, training, direction, and supervision to a unit/team in CCS, as well as ensuring compliance with reporting and audit requirements; preparing data reports in collaboration with the QA unit; ensuring program regulations, policies, and procedures are followed; ensuring quality assurance by performing reviews; planning and leading Quality/Process Improvement work; developing and implementing program and/or administrative goals for assigned functions; managing and standardizing activities in assigned program area; gathering data and metrics to support program goals; preparing a variety of special and periodic reports; collecting and analyzing information, supporting other units to function collaboratively and to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

In addition, the Community Program Supervisor will also be responsible for facilitating, planning, or participating in various program meetings on a regular basis. The Community Program Supervisor will participate in the selection and hiring process of CCS personnel under the lead of the Clinical Services Manager and provide for their training and professional development.

Currently, there are two** regular, full-time**, vacancies. The work hours for these vacancies are **8:00 am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, **and will have a hybrid schedule working remotely and onsite at the CCS office at **801 Gateway Blvd, South San Francisco CA 94080**.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, health care administration, social science, or a field related to the program area to which assigned; a **master’s degree in Public Health or a related field is highly desired.**:

- At least 3 years of recent experience in CCS with knowledge of relevant California Children Services regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures is **highly desired.**:

- Ability to maintain established standards of CCS Program and ensure that services are rendered in conformance with policy and procedural guidelines.
- Experience in utilizing different databases and electronic health systems.
- Ability to cultivate trust as a leader, promote teamwork, and operate within an interdisciplinary team (within and outside of Family Health).
- Willingness and ability to lead others and make decisions using an equity lens.
- Ability to be a strategic thinker skilled in leading change, trying new approaches and remaining open to learning for the purposes of ongoing systems improvement.
- Ability to be a fair, consistent, and strengths-based leader with extensive supervisory experience and has a track record of enlisting staff in continually improving services toward a unified purpose; nurtures and sustains strong and collaborative teams and brings out the best in others.
- Experience in working with culturally diverse communities/families and the ability to be culturally sensitive.
- Ability to focus on the details of the daily program activities, while maintaining a broad perspective of the agency’s philosophy, standards, and requirements.
- Ability to be an effective analyzer and problem solver, able to exercise sound judgment in decision-making.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

- Develop and implement program and/or administrative goals for assigned functions; monitor contracts and ensure compliance with contract and/or funding source requirements.
- Plan, assign, review and supervise the work of assigned staff; train staff and ensure staff professional development; develop individual and team performance.
- Evaluate employee performance, counsel employees and effectively recommend initial corrective action and other personnel decisions.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and direct the work of assigned administrative and/or service programs; train contractor staff and evaluate contractor performance.
- Evaluate program needs and recommend and implement necessary changes.
- Manage, audit, and standardize activities
