**Summary**
The Air Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the export & import process for air cargo, including coordination with operators, airlines, customs brokers, truckers, and other service providers. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of airfreight logistics and regulations.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Oversee the air export/import process, including preparation of shipping documents, customs clearance, and booking with carriers.
- Manage relationships with customers, vendors, and other third-party service providers to ensure the highest level of service and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate rate contracts with vendors.
- Support commercial team on client rate offers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of service delivery
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs, improve service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cargo delivery times, costs, and quality.
- P&L responsibility and reporting on monthly basis.
- Client and vendor meetings.
- Some traveling may be involved.
**Educational background / Work experience**
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in people management required.
- Knowledge and experience with air export controls & regulations required.
- Experience managing a P&L is preferred.

- This role involves managing a team of several supervisors and operators
**_Preferred Qualifications_**
- Experience with leading air cargo logistics software and systems
- Familiarity with customs requirements
- Knowledge of airline routes and schedules
**_Language skills_**
- Fluency in English is required
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
**_Computer Literacy_**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with logistics software and systems is required

For this position, the expected base pay is**:$78,000.00** - **$117,500.00/ Annual. **Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
