The Safety Coordinator will report directly to the Safety Director and will support the Safety department. The Safety Coordinator is responsible for organization and coordination of safety initiatives, procedures and department effectiveness and efficiency.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Understand and comply with all health and safety related state and federal regulations applicable to the Company.
- Assist in conducting safety audits in the field to ensure compliance with corporate safety policies, and all federal, state and local regulations.
- Maintain company Hazard Communication Program and Driver Fitness files.
- Responsible for a variety of administrative duties, including gathering and analyzing data, data entry and creating reports and spreadsheets.
- Participate in the inspection and review of the Company’s operations and facilities for safety/risk management provisions.
- Review documentation to insure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures.
- Prepare and present reports and statistical data relating to safety/risk management program performance to field supervisors.
- Conduct drug testing protocol.
- Order and maintain safety equipment.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**:

- Entry level knowledge of occupational safety/health experience in the construction industry or an equivalent combination of education, training and practical experience.
- Must be able to obtain OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 training.

**LICENSE**: Possession of or ability to obtain a valid class C California driver’s license
- **SKILLS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce federal, state, local and company regulations
- Ability to recognize hazardous situation and implement corrective measures essential.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills required. Must have extensive knowledge of applicable safety regulations, regulatory requirement and industry standards for electrical construction and general industry.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, possess good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; stand and sit for prolong periods. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Working conditions consists of a temperature-controlled office, outside elements such as rain, cold, and heat when driving from jobsite to jobsite or attending meetings, etc. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on jobsite.
