Founded as a result of the federal Older Americans Act, the AAAs are mandated to “facilitate the area-wide development and implementation of a comprehensive, coordinated system for providing long-term care in home and community-based settings, in a manner responsive to the needs and preferences of older individuals and their family caregivers.” PCA carries out this mission through advocacy, stewardship of public funding, planning, development and administration of programs, and service coordination._**

**Requirements**:
**Description of Role**: Under the supervision of the Director of the CSP (CAREGIVER SUPPORT PROGRAM), the secretary is responsible for secretarial duties as assigned in carrying out the mission and goals of the Caregivers Support program.

**Required Education and Experience**:High school degree or equivalent plus 2 years professional experience.

**Responsibilities**:
a. Working knowledge of office procedures and the operation of common office software and equipment.

b. Answering incoming calls and assisting with clerical support for the Caregiver Support Program.

c. Provides clerical support on special projects and events as needed.

d. Types correspondence, reports, and various forms including event flyers.

e. Composes and types of forms and letters

f. Answers telephones and personal inquiries which require knowledge of program regulations and procedures; routes visitors and calls; secures and releases routine information.

g. Operates a personal computer to perform all functions relative to assigned work.

h. Sorts correspondence and maintains and purges paper and electronic files.

i. Prepares requisitions for and maintains records of supplies and equipment.

j. Schedules meetings

k. Takes initiative to follow up on relevant issues.

l. Provides staff with reminders of upcoming events and project-related deadlines.

m. Coordinates, prepares, and edits reports, and presentations as requested.

n. Organizes files, assembles relevant data, compiles statistics or information as directed.

o. Handles confidential matters requiring discretion and judgment.

p. Greets visitors. Responsible for maintaining office environment.

q. Contributes to upholding a highly supportive team culture.

r. Performs other duties as assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Meets deadlines in a timely manner.
- Keeps current with mail, copying, scanning, filing, etc.
- Accurately completes documents and other typed materials.
- Polite telephone manner and good people skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work remotely and partially in the office as scheduled.
