**Grants Management Specialist III**:
**Department**: Health Care Access Bureau, Immunization Division **Location**: District of Columbia Department of Health (DC Health)

**Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure compliance with all federal and DC grant regulations, including those from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
- Manage the grant lifecycle, including:

- Developing and managing grant budgets.
- Preparing and submitting financial reports to grantors.
- Monitoring grant-funded programs for compliance with grant guidelines.
- Coordinating reimbursement requests from the District or Federal Government.
- Oversee data entry and review of grant information in the District's Grant Management System.
- Collaborate with program staff, administrators, and financial officers to ensure efficient grant management.
- Serve as a resource for the Division Chief on grant-related matters.
- Coordinate meetings with key stakeholders to promote vaccination programs.
- Support other Immunization Division projects as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field (required).
- 3-5 years of experience in grants management or a related field (required).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, self-direction, and flexibility.
- Strong analytical, assessment, and communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of public health principles and practices a plus.

**Work Environment**

This position is a hybrid role with a mix of in-person and remote work. The office environment is clean, well-lit, and temperature controlled. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with some flexibility in scheduling.

**Performance Period**

This is a temporary position with a performance period from the date of hire through December 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension based on funding availability
