There is currently an opening for an** Engineering Technician 2 or Engineering Technician 3** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position falls under one of Northrop Grumman's Small Business Units, Sonoma Photonics, Inc. and will be located in **Santa Rosa, CA**.
Work will be conducted in both an office and lab/mfg environment with various temperatures and possible exposure to chemicals. US Citizenship required in support of security clearance requirements.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
**Basic Qualifications**:
- **Engineering Technician 2**: Associate degree or other 2-year technical degree in related discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience or additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- **Engineering Technician 3**:Associate degree or other 2-year technical degree in related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of related experience or additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Familiarity with thin film optical materials and thin film characterization techniques.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience with statistical methods and analysis.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with optical thin films; thin film modeling software (TFCalc, Optilayer, etc.)
- Active DoD Secret clearance
**Salary Range**:$53,000 - $88,300
**Salary Range 2**:$62,900 - $104,900
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
