_Williams-Sonoma at Bethesda, MD is looking for an Assistant Store Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who loves to work under pressure, understands priorities, and gets the job done._

Lead the management team in achieving goals by providing World-Class service. Serve as a role model for building relationships with customers. Maintain presence through store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage in all areas of the store. Implement visual changes and maintain store standards. Partners GM in daily running of the store to hit the store goals. Any interior design service background is a plus

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Support the General Manager in running a fast paced store with multiple priorities throughout the day.
- Experience in SPH, conversion, daily goals, credit card opening, P&L, and be able to speak about the business.
- Own the business by identifying opportunities, developing and executing strategies and protecting company assets.
- Provide exceptional customer service in the store to achieve world-class service standards.
- Reinforce customer service principles by coaching staff on their successes and challenges.
- Attract, retain and develop top talent.
- Create and ensure a positive environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity in accordance with our People First Philosophy.
- Be held accountable for the following brand competencies: operates with strategic agility, drives innovation and change, provides influential leadership, communicates effectively while building operational excellence.

**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous management role in operations and sales is a must.
- Excellent verbal communication and written skills
- Superior critical thinking skills to creatively identify challenges and develop action plans in a timely manner
- Great time management skills and ability to execute multiple priorities throughout shift
- Ability to independently lead self and others to achieve results
- Competent in computer and office program skills
- Must have good problem solving skills
- Work well under pressure
- Visual Merchandising

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time (ASM of Sales will work 90% of their day out on the floor)
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
- Must be agile, be able to comfortably climb tall ladders and work in narrow spaces in the stockroom.
- Employment/promotion to this role with being contingent on the successful completion of a background check.
- Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business.

**Other Requirements**:

- must be able to close minimum of 2 nights out of the four to five work days
- understands that majority of the business will be on weekends and scheduled accordingly
- open availability with quarter 4 (November to January) no black out dates
- serious individual who will get the daily priorities done even with difficult challenges
- have a broad knowledge in Kitchen appliances and tools
- loves our products and have shopped with us before

**Education**: College degree preferred or equivalent job experience.
