**Shift: M-W from 1500 to 2100.**
**Position**
Rocky Mountain Laboratories specializes in providing quick patient turnaround time and upholds high reliability and professionalism within our team. We seek a part-time evening courier to efficiently capture pertinent data and transport medical-related materials from internal and external customers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to established schedules and protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any special instructions.
- Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork.
- Attend training sessions or meetings as required to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot any issues or challenges encountered during daily operations, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Valid Driver's License
- Personal auto insurance is required.
- Clean driving record.
- Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with an adequate data plan.
- Federal Tax ID Number (EIN).
- Route flexibility.
- Previous medical courier experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years of driving experience in previous roles.
- Comfortable navigating routing software and GPS.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to operate a vehicle for long periods.
**Ideal start date: June 6th or whenever we find the right fit.**
**License/Certification**:
- Valid Driver's License (required).
**Work Location: Multiple Locations, Phoenix, AZ, and surrounding areas (On the road, in-person).**
**Job Type: around 18-24 hours per week to start, and may lead to full-time as the business grows in the new area.**
**Salary: Starting from $18.00 per hour.**
**Benefits**:
- Company vehicle during working hours.
- Eligible for a bonus of 10% of monthly pay.
- If full-time, we offer benefits including Health, Vision, Dental insurance, and PTO.
- 8% Differential for the hours between 10 pm and 5 am, and weekends.
**Ability to commute/relocate**:
- SE Phoenix, AZ: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Benefits start after the first full month as a full-time W2. For example, if you start as a W2 on Feb 1st or Feb 20th, your benefits start April 1st, after the first full month of March.

Please note: Effective March 2024, all newly hired employees will undergo a background check as part of the onboarding process. This requirement applies particularly to roles in patient or client-facing departments. Additionally, employees joining the courier team will need to provide motor history records as they will be operating company vehicles. The outcome of the background check will determine continued employment. The background check procedure is facilitated through the Checkr integration with Gusto during the onboarding process.
