**Job Title**: Procurement Specialist

**Location**: Houston, Texas 77011 (East Downtown)

**FSLA Status**: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

**As S+S Industries continues to rapidly expand, we are looking to add a Procurement Specialist to the S+S team**

**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 2 years of Purchasing experience-
- Minimum 1 year on Logistics planning**Key Responsibilities**: (Duties include, but are not limited to):

- Source and purchase equipment, goods and services
- Establish and maintain profitable relationships with suppliers
- Perform strategic activities across multiple categories of spending
- Consistently search for the best pricing and quality from our suppliers or locate new suppliers for best pricing and quality
- Issue Purchase Orders
- Consider price, quality, availability and reliability when selecting suppliers and merchandise
- File, scan, and maintain storage of paperwork associated with suppliers, purchases, invoices, etc.
- Assist in database maintenance
- Communicate with suppliers and appropriate personnel to resolve any problems or concerns in a courteous, professional and timely manner
- Reconciles invoice issues with A/P
- Process freight bills for approval
- Arranging transport of goods and tracking order to ensure timely delivery
- Managing of all open orders to ensure on time delivery
- Following up with suppliers and keeping requestors informed on the delivery status
- Multi-task, manage time, prioritize, react quickly to changing priorities and follow through on work assigned
- Work independently to identify and resolve problems accurately and in a timely manner
- Input and/or Update Process Masters and Specifications
- Assist with development of operating procedures and systems

**Shift**:Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm**Compensation**: Depending on experience**Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)**
