As a Instructional Systems Specialist your typical work assignments may include:

- Designing appropriate training format and delivery methods for Chemistry, Friction Ridge, and Digital Evidence training areas based on reviewing and analyzing related audience, requirements, and objectives.
- Performing quality assurance reviews of existing training programs and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal laws, regulations, and policies and procedures.
- Developing database tools and reports that can be used as a management tool to analyze feedback, evaluate results and recommend curriculum changes, enhancements, and additional course development.

**Qualifications**:
**Basic Requirement**:Degree: that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours appropriate to the work of the position to be filled. The course work must have included study in at least four of the following five areas:
- _Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology:_ Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.
- _Educational evaluation:_ Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.

Some positions in this series may specialize in one or two functional areas, where more specific academic preparation may be necessary. For such positions, agencies may require course work in the applicable functional area(s) as part of the above-required 24 semester hours.
- **You must submit transcripts** as proof of education or of certification to be considered for this position.
- You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying specialized experience. Specialized experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
