**Responsibilities**:

- Operates and maintains manual lathes, mills and grinders
- Responsible for set-up and operation of manual turning, milling, and grinding machinery
- Produces and/or repairs precision parts using both manual and automated equipment for accurate measurements
- Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
- Keep records of approved and defective units
- Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping
- Checks precision tolerances and makes tool adjustments
- Performs limited, intermittent physical exertion while working under acceptable conditions with some distraction due to occasional exposure to noise, dust, heat, or chemicals

Qualifications:

- Proven experience working in a machine shop
- Experience using manual lathes, mills, grinders, cutting tools, and inspection equipment
- Ability to read and understand drawings
- Able to maintain accurate part counts
- Completes jobs in a timely manner
- Basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items (25+ lbs.)

Work Hours:

- Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
