**Quality Specialist**

**Overview**:
The Quality specialist is responsible for supporting all calibration activities with a focus on the management of outsourced calibrations.
- Minimum Required Qualifications:
- 0-5 years’ experience in quality-related functions
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of standard quality concepts, preferred
- Working knowledge of standard calibration practices and policies, preferred.
- Familiarity with various aspects of quality control
- Ability to effectively work in cross-functional teams
- Must be flexible and able to balance multiple tasks
- Strong verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents, including but not limited to; vendors, suppliers, customers, etc.
- Strong computer literacy, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
- This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance, therefore you must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
- Knowledge/experience with AS9100 a plus
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities:
- Documents and processes calibrations performed by external labs
- Makes arrangements for external labs to conduct onsite calibrations
- Arranges for MTE to be calibrated offsite by external labs
- Coordinates calibrations and repairs with internal customers
- Processes MTE found out of tolerance
- Generates purchase order requisitions for calibration and repair of MTE
- Procures new equipment and test supplies
- Requests quotes and service authorization from external vendors.
- Adds new MTE to calibration database
- Evaluates calibration documentation for accuracy and adherence to company procedures.
- Demonstrates solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Follows up with external calibration labs to ensure timely return of MTE to customers
- Maintains appropriate calibration documentation and records, including computer data entry and filing of reports.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Assists with calibrations as needed
- Interfaces with internal customers on basic service requests with some supervision
- Manages workload to achieve production schedules and ensure completion within timeframe.
- Monitors and completes all business tasks within timeframe and ensure optimal quality.
- Additional Duties / Responsibilities:
- Bring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).
- Abide by all safety, quality, housekeeping and company policies/procedures to ensure compliance to various regulatory and internal system requirements
- Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication at all levels internal and external to the organization
- Actively participate in team meetings, improvement initiatives/programs, etc. to provide constructive recommendations and initiate actions to support company initiatives/goals
- Consistently demonstrate commitment to company values
- Keep management informed of area activities and of any significant problems
- Assume responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
- Ensure that work area and work areas of direct reports are clean, secure, and well maintained
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
- Work Environment:
- This job interacts both in a professional office environment and a manufacturing/machine shop environment. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as environments inclusive of the appropriate eye, hearing and foot protection (as required).
- This is a full-time position. Overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
- Some travel may be required for this position (10%)
