Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Manager coordinates and manages day to day operations and services for residential clients by

managing or performing the duties required to aid in the prevention and treatment of alcohol and drug abuse problems

affecting individuals. Prepares reports, assessment tools, data collection as necessary and maintains records of program

related activities.

Interviews potential clientele with problems such as personal and family adjustments, finances, employment, food,

clothing, housing, physical, emotional, mental and possible health impairments to determine nature and degree of

detoxification necessary based upon presenting and underlying issues in accordance with ASAM criteria.

Overseeing intake referrals from the Access line, arranging intake dates, and providing instructions. Conducting assessments during intake, encompassing medical, psychological, and social factors that contribute to the client's situation in accordance with ASAM Criteria.

Facilitating client referrals to community resources and organizations as they transition from Detox to a lower level of care. Cultivating strong relationships with community stakeholders while adhering to ethical guidelines

Compiles client records of progress while in the Detox, using agency database programs to document services

provided which includes ETO, Clinicians Gateway and Share Care.

Supervise staff in ETO and EHR county system to ensure compliance with state and county documentation standards.

Enforce mandatory annual training for all staff and their registration or certification with accredited organizations to meet state and county requirements.

Ensures safety at all times during the detoxification process; monitors clients during the detoxification process

providing support and feedback regarding their next level of care, including medically assisted treatment. Monitor

medication distribution, ensuring the client is taking medication as prescribed and documenting when the client

declined medication with referral back to primary care physician for evaluation..

Collaborate in organizing in-house groups and arranging detox-related speakers to educate and inform clients during their stay at the Detox.

Demonstrate the capability to promptly recognize and respond to emergency situations, including overdoses, while also possessing effective skills to deescalate tense situations.

Transports clients in the agency-provided vehicle for appointments as required.

Understands or is willing to educate self on 12 Steps of Recovery to support clients in their detoxification and

sobriety. If you are not a 12-step member or in sobriety do not share your personal life with clients as to not deter

them from their journey and allow them to pass judgment on you if you drink alcohol or use a mind-altering chemical

for which we are encouraging clients to abstain from.

Conducts UA testing for clients as needed.

Employ motivational interviewing techniques to support clients in acknowledging recent drug use and obtaining their admission statement. In cases where a client acknowledges use, collaborate with the sober center to arrange a brief period of sobriety before their return to the program.

Carries out duties and responsibilities in accordance with agency policy and procedures and applicable City, County,

State and Federal Laws.

Accountable for completing and submitting work orders, procuring necessary supplies, and maintaining the facility in good condition.

Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and stay updated on best practices in detoxification and addiction treatment.

Encouraging and supporting the professional growth of team members.

Responsible for conducting annual performance evaluations, providing counseling, and overseeing disciplinary procedures for staff.

Ensures that staff are provided with proper training and are well-equipped to fulfill their roles effectively and contribute to the program's success.

Oversee staff timecards and training are submitted in a timely manner.

The 24-hour program requires the ability to adapt to varying schedules and demands.

Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent: A minimum educational requirement to demonstrate basic literacy and communication skills.

Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Certification as a substance abuse counselor through a DHS (Department of Human Services) agency.

Employees are required to maintain an active SUD certification throughout their employment.

Minimum two years experience in substance use and or behavioral health care treatment

Knowledge of substance use disorders, detoxification protocols, and treatm
