**Job Title**:Human Resources Director

**Facility**:Staten Island Care Center

**Pay Range**: 60k-70k, Depending on Experience

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate people person to join our team at Staten Island Care Center as the Human Resources Director.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Review and process requests for new personnel.
- Ensure employee files are in compliance with all regulatory authorities.
- Ensure employee performance evaluations are completed by department heads and necessary actions are taken.
- Interpret policies and procedures to personnel.
- Assist in creating an atmosphere of teamwork.
- Participate/initiate all employee related morale programs
- Orient new personnel and maintain communication with department directors.
- Make reports and recommendations to the Administrator.
- Maintain mandatory postings.
- Assist in recruitment, selection, and training.
- Assist in counseling and disciplining personnel as necessary.
- Manage attendance records and leaves of absence.
- Conduct investigations and exit interviews.
- Monitor unemployment claims.
- Serve as a liaison with union delegates/employees and management.
- Ensure regular training and in-services.
- Maintain training records for staff personnel.

**Requirements**:

- At least one year of experience in HR _(preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare facility)_
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
