**Job Title**:Porter - Housekeeper

**Job Summary**:The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the Club and all outlets.

**Reports To**:Director of Maintenance

**Job Tasks**

1. Establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness for the entire Club.

2. Maintain a professional appearance with a positive attitude, adaptability, and flexibility.

3. Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas in offices, lobbies, restaurants, and entrances.

4. Empty, clean all waste receptacles, and remove waste paper and rubbish from the premises to designated area; damp wipe receptacles as necessary.

5. Hand dust and wipe clean all furniture, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, and all other hardtop surfaces.

6. Damp wipe and polish all glass furniture tops and remove all fingerprints and other markings on vertical and horizontal surfaces.

7. Wash, clean, and disinfect all water coolers, sinks, and countertops.

8. Clean and disinfect all restrooms (sinks, toilets, countertops, floors, mirrors, etc.).

9. Replace sanitary bathroom supplies and maintain ample inventory.

10. Sweep with a broom, private stairways, and vacuum if carpeted.

11. Damp dust all ceiling air conditioning diffusers, wall registers, and other ventilation.

12. Dust the exterior surfaces of lighting fixtures, including glass and plastic enclosures.

13. Wipe clean and polish all metal hardware fixtures and other brightwork.

14. Clean entrance door glass inside and outside.

15. Sweep, dust mop, or damp mop floors and entrance areas.

16. Keep cleaning closets/rooms clean, neat, and orderly condition while ensuring all supplies are adequately maintained and laundered as necessary.

17. Reports lost and found items to the Front Desk.

18. Reports any cleanliness or repair issues not able to be resolved to the Director of Maintenance and Clubhouse Manager.

19. Maintaining health and safety standards.

20. Provides regular feedback to managers on necessary repairs or issues throughout the club.

21. Performs other appropriate tasks as necessary.

**Job Specification**

1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a cleaning, janitorial or porter position at a private club/hotel/or resort.

2. Exceptional customer service, being polite with members, guests, and employees at all times.

3. Able to work flexible schedules and weekends, holidays.

4. Must be punctual and reliable.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Reliable transportation, possess valid driving licenses.

7. Highly organized and attentional to detail.

8. Experience with cleaning equipment such as vacuum, broom, and mop and knowledge of what cleaning products are appropriate for specific surfaces.

9. Ability to follow specific instructions and take directions.

10. Track record of finishing assigned tasks effectively within limited time.

11. Must stand and walk, have good coordination, and balance frequently. Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. at shoulder height.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- housekeeping/porter: 2 years (preferred)
