Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper/Porter. As a key member of our Environmental Services Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Clean and maintain all assigned areas, including patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, restrooms, offices, floors, walls, lights, vents, windows, and linen carts, in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Stock areas with paper goods, soaps, and patient supplies as needed, ensuring a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Respond to emergency calls and follow department policy as directed by your supervisor.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and complete necessary training to ensure compliance with hospital guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain all assigned equipment, including powered and non-powered equipment, to ensure efficient and effective cleaning.
  • Use the phone system to operate pagers and integrated software programs, demonstrating proficiency in technology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed to ensure smooth operation of the department/unit.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Customer service experience or ability required; cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to speak and understand English.
