Overview:
We are currently in need of a Dental Assistant to fill in for a team member who will be taking temporary leave. However, our intention is to hire somebody who can work as an assistant when needed but would prefer to split their time with the Front Desk duties as well. Pleasant, single doctor-owned practice, not corporate.
**Duties**:
- Cover for chair-side assistant as needed
- General Front Desk Duties, Check-in, Check-out, Scheduling, Insurance Verification etc
- Manage patient records and update information in the system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
**Skills**:
- Prior Dental Assistant Chair-side experience preferred
- ICE certification a plus
- Proficiency in Dental Management Software systems. We use Open Dental
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must
