Accounting Specialist

**Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Analyze financial data and trends to identify insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data from various sources. Prepare and present reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Able to communicate/present to upper management on cost variance, inventory analysis and propose solutions for cost reductions and margin improvement
- Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and file tax returns accurately and timely.
- Assist in tax planning and forecasting to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings.
- Provide support during tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Perform accounting and finance supporting tasks.
- Perform other relevant accounting duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, or a related Business field
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, taxes, data analysis or related field
- Familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements.
- Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations.
- Experience in tax preparation and compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Logical thinker with problem solving skills and an aptitude for systems/technology
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks and SAP preferred
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Must be able to learn in a fast-paced environment and pivot as needed

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per hour
