**The Role**:
As a People Partner, you’re a trusted partner within the business and a key member of the team to ensure excellence in HR services and practices. You’ll cultivate trusted relationships locally and globally, tackle strategic people matters while managing tactical matters, champion people-centric practices and culture.

As the trusted thought partner, you’ll anticipate business needs collaborating with Global Centres of Excellence (ex: Communications, Inclusion, and L&D to name a few) to help to support our short and long-term goals for the region and in alignment with global People strategy. This presents an excellent chance for someone with a focus on high touch people partnering, working in collaboration with brilliant client groups and teams both globally and locally and enjoys operating both tactically and strategically. This role reports to the Director, People Partnering & Talent Acquisition.

**Role Accountabilities**:
**Business Partnering**
- Operate in a generalist capacity across all employee groups, desire to have deep understanding of our teams and business to ensure high touch people partnering support
- Strong understanding of policy, practices and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, seeks to recommend best practices
- Strategic and tactical role within a rapidly growing business that continues to expand, which means a growing infrastructure with opportunity to continue to build on NA People tools to ensure we scale at pace
- Focus on all touchpoints of employee lifecycle, providing a magical journey to ensure the attraction, development/engagement and retention of talent
- Make recommendations in HR strategy for the NA business, and beyond, with a view of continuous improvement.
- Be a key contributor in several strategic work-streams for NA and global People function.
- Support key annual performance initiatives for NA client group.
- Support workforce planning to ensure we are setup for success and continue to grow responsibly.
- Support team efficiencies and ways of working for client group.
- Support local internal communications, learning and development in addition to inclusion in partnership with global centers of excellence

**Talent Management (Career Planning & Succession Planning)**
- Strong focus on internal talent care (career pathing, development, coaching) and ability to identify and further develop top internal talent.
- Partner closely with Director, People & Talent Acquisition and Global Head of Talent on Career Planning and Succession Planning.
- Support narrowing talent gaps, increasing both retention and employee management through understanding of learning needs.
- Support development/succession plans for client group

**Employee Coaching and Advisement**
- Management of employee relations.
- Work directly with managers to discuss any people or team concerns, people issues or areas of development.

**Culture/Engagement**
- Gatekeeper of culture with a proximity to consumer group and business.
- Support vision of in-office activations and events in NY Magic Office tied to L&D & DE&I.
- Lead local ERG to support our continued focus on our culture, ensuring we are providing a best in class employee experience.
- Actively listen to their feedback as representatives of their functions to ensure actionable insight to improve the employee experience (in ways both big and small)

**Employee Lifecycle (In Partnership w/ People Ops)**
- Finger on the pulse of needs, anticipating them and providing proactive solutions.
- In partnership with People Partnering and People Operations, help foster a magical employee experience and drive Global People strategy aligned with NA regional strategy.
- Work collaboratively with regional/global partners and key stakeholders on day-to-day business responsibilities in addition to large scale regional/global initiatives.
- Actively identify gaps or development areas in People processes, and ways of working, proposing, and implementing changes necessary to cover risks and improve efficiencies.

**Reporting Relationships**:Reports to Director - People & Talent Acquisition

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of experience.
- Spanish-speaking, bilingual preferred.
- High empathy and high energy with a seek to understand mentality.
- Strong interpersonal skill set including ability to influence across all levels and regions.
- Significant, proven experience as an HRBP in corporate environment (Direct Talent and Generalist experience required supporting Corporate, Field and Retail).
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thrives in fast paced and ever-changing environment.
- Strong problem-solving ability with great attention to detail.
- A role model for people-focused leadership standards and behaviors.
- Strong and deliberate grasp of situational leadership able to demonstrate an ability
