**Job Summary(APPLICANT MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE GREATER PHOENIX METRO AREA AND COME TO THE OFFICE 4 DAYS PER WEEK)**:
**State Basketball Championship is looking for a Tournament Coordinator to join our growing national youth basketball event organization. The main focus of this position is to lead crucial behind the scenes day to day tasks, which directly involve our qualifier tournaments and qualifying teams. This is a unique opportunity to become deeply immersed in the sports industry, as well as the event business. The position will take place at our Scottsdale Office with our passionate and motivated team This role will be full-time, starting in August. Duties will be performed over an average of 35-40 hours per week, typically during regular business hours Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend hours. In February and March during our large event season this position can expect to work 50+ hours per week including weekends and travel. The position will be eligible for a performance-based bonus.**

**State Basketball Championship (SBC) is the largest qualifier-based youth basketball tournament operator in the United States. With events stretching from coast to coast, SBC hosts over 2,300 teams and tens of thousands of spectators nationwide. SBC provides young athletes, in 3rd through 8th grade, the opportunity to compete for State and Regional Championships at 3-day season ending events at a marquee venues**
**Responsibilities**:
**State Rep Onboarding**
- **Assist in the hiring of SBC State Reps in specific regions based on Tournament Director input**:
- **Confirm hires and coordinate the signing of contracts and expected start dates**:
- **Maintain inventory of Rep equipment and assist in the packing/shipping of Rep equipment**:
- **Assist in bi-monthly Rep payroll execution via excel/google spreadsheets**
**Tournament Staffing**
- **Assist in staffing our March State Tournaments**:
- **Reach out to local HS programs and independent to fill book, clock, and admissions positions**:
- **Consistently communicate with staffing contacts and ensure all shifts are covered**
**Tournament Directing**
- **Pre-season and in-season communication with qualifier tournament directors, adding them to our list and confirming dates, as well as the attendance of SBC Reps at their events.**:
- **Oversee weekly tourney schedules for Reps attending qualifier events**:
- **On site in March communicate with coaches, players, parents, and officials to resolve any arising issues and carry out SBC policy**
**Administrative**
- **Learn mastery use of SBC website, CRM, and team registration system**:
- **Management of SBC hiring via Indeed and sending contracts through Docusign**
**Key Skills/Qualifications**:
- **College degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields of study**:
- **Access to reliable transportation for commuting to Scottsdale office**:
- **Ability to multitask, adapt, and prioritize action items while meeting weekly deadlines**:
- **Extremely organized with strong attention to detail**:
- **Knowledge of how tournaments schedules and brackets work**:
- **Able to professionally interact with coaches, players, officials, and parents**
**Salary range: $4000-$5000/month depending on experience**

Pay: $4,000.00 - $5,000.00 per month
