Inventory Management Specialist

**Duties**:

- Maintains inventory control for a National Interagency Support Cache (NISC) operation in accordance with a well-established supply management plan.
- Researches inventory discrepancies, identifies solutions, and makes recommendations to resolve problems.
- Coordinates with warehouse operations for the procurement of replenishment stock from national cache system inventories, vendors, and other government entities.
- Collaborates with contracting group to develop purchasing specifications for current and project incident support.
- Promotes management direction and objectives to ensure proper supply procedures and guidelines are conducted in accordance to agency and national guidelines.
- Reviews and validates incoming supply orders for accuracy, verifies financial account information, and communicates delivery order status to requisitioning unit.
- Develops, initiates, reviews and maintains stocking levels in support of emergency incident activity including both standard and non-standard supplies and equipment, kit components and accessories, refurbishment parts, and warehouse use materials.

Amaster's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

An appropriate combination of specialized experience and education (only graduate education in excess of 18 semester hours may be used to qualify applicants for this grade level).
