Cell Culture Specialist

**Job Posting: Cell Culture Specialist**

**Location**: Shady Grove Office

**Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

**Key Requirements**:

- Must have strong cell culture experience.
- 3-5 years of experience working with primary cells, including T cells.
- 1-2 years of industry experience.
- Ability to handle cell cultures carefully and appropriately.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and execute experiments to develop or optimize cell culture media and growth supplements for primary cells and cell lines. Prior experience with T cells, NK cells, and other primary cell types is preferred.
- Maintain precise and organized records of experiments. Analyze and report on data generated.
- Utilize perfect aseptic technique and demonstrate expertise in handling primary cells and cell lines.
- Execute chemical characterization assays including solubility, pH, osmolality, and others.
- Design and execute analytical and cell culture-based functionality testing, including cell growth assays for various cell culture media.
- Produce small-scale media batches for internal testing, including formulating complete media from various recipe formats, converting from molarity to g/L and vice versa.
- Troubleshoot experimental results for cells and media, raw materials, media formulation, product storage, and QC assays.
- Maintain stocks of chemicals, reagents, and supplies in the laboratory; order and track materials as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related discipline. A B.S. degree with 5-10 years of relevant industrial experience is also acceptable.
- Significant knowledge of aseptic cell culture techniques, basic biology, chemistry, mathematical calculations, statistical analysis, technical writing, and laboratory equipment.
- Proficiency with computer software, including SAP and MS Office.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

**Job Types**: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
