**Position Summary**:
The In-Force Specialist will serve as Navy Mutual’s in-force product resource, assist in creating and maintaining documentation for all Navy Mutual products, and act as a resource for in-force product questions, changes, etc.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Distributions & In-force:

- Responsible for the knowledge base and documentation of all in-force contract provisions and update the historical record as changes occur to those provisions.
- Troubleshoot policy administration and system in-force operations’ issues.
- Assist with the generation of permanent plus and annuity plan member statements.
- Execute and process various member in-force policy services such as “discounted single premium”, “reduced paid up” assignments, benefit plan changes, absolute assignments, LTC elections, etc
- Perform investigations and corrections for systemic in-force policy administration concerns.
- Monitor in-force policies throughout their life and correct system and administrative errors.
- Test any updates to the policy administration system and illustration systems as they pertain to in-force policies and functions, document test cases and steps accordingly.
- Participate in cross-training of all duties and responsibilities for this role in order to ensure proper continuity of operations and coverage of operational functions at all times.
- Comply with all pertinent laws/regulations, Bylaws and policies established by the Board, President & CEO and all written/verbal instructions received from the Vice President, Member Services.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Related Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 1-3 years of relevant operations experience required.
- Life insurance experience preferred.
- Insurance certifications such as FLMI, CLU, ACS, or PCS preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of Navy Mutual’s in-force operations and products is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented and highly organized in an efficient manner while balancing the need for quality with on-time delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Possess strong initiative with the ability to successfully work independently to solve problems, as well as work in a team environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
