The RLH Volunteer Specialist is responsible for providing the delivery of care and services to all youth with absolute respect and unconditional love. The RLH Volunteer Specialist must create opportunities for building community amongst young people that is inclusive and affirming, ensuring young people feel welcomed, seen, heard and valued. The RLH Volunteer Specialist is responsible for inspiring and motivating youth; by creating an environment which engages youth and gives them voice and choice. The RLH Volunteer Specialist will manage volunteers to ensure that they have an extraordinary experience of service that enhances the programming, services and care offered to our residents.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Build a supportive relationship with youth that encourages them to find their voice and connects them to opportunities, experiences and resources that enrich and enhance their lives.
- Create learning opportunities which offer youth voice, choice and are adaptive.
- Train on and implement the identified parenting curriculum with the Senior Service Manager.
- Manage all aspects of volunteer programs at Raphael’s Life House.
- Collaborate with the Senior Service Manager to ensure volunteer programming is appropriate and adds value.
- Demonstrate best practices as provided through the Model of Care training materials and coach volunteers to deliver program services in alignment with the model.
- Liaison between volunteers and program team to ensure seamless communication and quality programming to residents.
- Attend volunteer activities to support and maintain volunteer programming.
- Ensure that volunteers are consistently using the Portal.
- Communicate the work of donor volunteers for the purpose of appropriate recognition and donor cultivation.
- Attend quarterly Mother-Child program Board meetings and provide volunteer and program updates.
- Collaborate on an annual volunteer recognition event.
- Work on special projects as needed and assigned by the department leadership.
- Assists as needed with fundraising affairs and special events which may be conducted outside the employee’s normal business work schedule.
- Applicant must be available to work 3 days a week 9:00 AM -5:00 PM

**Experience and Skills**:

- Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
- Two years experience working with volunteers.
- A valid New Jersey driver’s license with an insurable driving record is required.
- Excellent oral, written, organizational, motivational and assessment skills
- Computer & Electronic literacy required
