Maintenance Assistant

**Job Summary**:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of our facilities and equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently.

**Duties**:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting, cleaning, and lubricating equipment
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Weld and fabricate metal components as needed
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues or hazards
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff members
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
- Assist in supervising contractors or external service providers when necessary

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in electrical systems, including wiring and circuitry
- Familiarity with logic controllers and other automated systems is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff members at all levels
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Leadership skills to assist in supervising contractors or external service providers

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
