Zeco, a member company of the Vincit Group, is seeking an experienced Shipping/Receiving Coordinator for an opening in our Harrisonburg, VA facility. The Vincit Group is a single source provider with a network of eight member companies that deliver maximum efficiency through the vertical integration of chemical services, contract sanitation management, as well as automation and engineering solutions. The Vincit Group Services provides IT, finance, marketing and human resources support to the member companies. We currently have over 8,000 associates among all member companies in the organization.

Zeco has a complete research and development team that provides specialty chemical manufacturing for sanitation, intervention, water, wastewater, and process systems. Our clients include some of the most prestigious and well known food brands in the world, and we protect their brand names by ensuring that their products are free from bacteria that could contaminate the nation’s food supply. **JOB SUMMARY**:
This position is responsible for carrying out the day to day operations of the distribution warehouse. Under the direction of the Plant/Warehouse Manager, the shipping and receiving coordinator prepares documentation, maintains records, and coordinates logistics for product shipment.

**EDUCATION**:
**Required**: High school diploma or GED

**Preferred**: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field

**EXPERIENCE**:
**Required**: 1-2 years of previous shipping, office, and/or forklift experience

**Preferred**: 3+ years of experience working in a shipping or receiving role in the chemical industry

- X3 software experience

**CORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions)**
- Prepares documentation, maintains records, and coordinates logistics for product shipment. Leads communications within the Shipping/Receiving area.
- Schedules and coordinates both Domestic and International freight forwarder transactions.
- Ensures freight forwarders are selected based on company objectives for cost and delivery.
- Maintains shipping records, including providing tracking or shipping history information to customers on request.
- Prepares shipping paperwork as well as completes shipping transaction in appropriate systems.
- Coordinates Returned Material Authorization (RMA) process with Customers, including issuing RMA numbers.
- Prepares boxes with appropriate labels for shipment as required.
- Provide guidance to others within the Shipping/Receiving area.
- Communicates status of Shipping/Receiving activities to appropriate personnel.
- May train new hires.
- Review open customer orders, create pick worksheets on an as needed basis to efficiently meet the customer shipping schedule and satisfy the requested ship dates.
- Generate shipping output documents as required.
- Generate customer invoicing upon shipping.
- Audit waiting-to-ship reports daily to ensure all invoicing is completed.
- Coordinate the shipping of freight by contacting appropriate freight carriers.
- Communicate shipping volumes and priorities closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and 3rd party warehouses to optimize available resources.
- Shop rates for prepaid shipments to ensure that we are getting the best possible freight rates.
- Review and audit freight bills for billing accuracy.
- Respond to billing questions from external freight payment services.
- Formally document new or changed procedures.
- Identify who requires training and execute training if needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current international import/export regulatory requirements.
- Update applicable standard operating procedures as necessary.
- Participation in transportation-related project teams.
- Effectively lead cross-functional root cause and corrective action to resolve customer-related shipping issues.
- Loading and unloading trailers.
- Other duties as assigned.
