**Volunteer Summary**
The TechQuest: Empowering Future Innovators high school volunteer program will provide valuable learning opportunities and exposure to different areas of technology and state government as outlined below:

- Learn how to install and maintain Capitol Complex Telephone System (CCTS) telephones.
- Learn how to be a liaison for assigned State agencies for all CCTS voice services, including how to move, add, change (MAC) work orders for creating a phone.
- Learn how to be a liaison for assigned State agencies for all CCTS voice services, including how to move, add, change (MAC) work orders for disconnecting a phone.
- Learn how to monitor cable facilities within and between buildings and make recommendations for adjustments as appropriate on the Capitol Complex.
- Learn how to troubleshoot phones in response to customer reports and disseminate unresolved trouble issues to appropriate staff and vendors.
- Learn how to update the E911 database when a customer moves from one location to another.
- Learn how to perform moves, adds, changes, and disconnects of digital, analog and VoIP station equipment.
- Shadow other programs as needed.

**Qualifications**

**Education**
- Must be a current high school student between the ages of 16 to 18.
- Must possess good standing high school academic records.

**Qualifications**
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cordial working relationships at all organizational levels, including agency management, direct supervisors, co-workers, internal and external customers.
- Ability to understand, follow and convey brief oral and/or written instructions.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to comply with all agency policy and applicable laws.
- Ability to comply with all applicable safety rules, regulations, and standards.

**Computer Skills**
- Proficiency in the use of a computer and applicable software necessary to perform work assignments e.g., word processing, spreadsheets (Microsoft Office preferred).

**Other Requirements**
- Regular and punctual attendance at the workplace.
- Criminal background check.
