WinnCompanies is offering a unique opportunity to join our team as **Vice President of WinnDevelopment** in **Boston, MA**. Reporting to the President and Executive Vice President of Development, the VP will lead a team of Project Directors and support staff responsible for the oversight of multiple development projects from conception through conversion, with a focus on affordable and mixed-income multi-family residential development. The VP will manage all facets of the development processes including project underwriting, financing, design coordination, construction management, project close-out and transition to the property management team. **Responsibilities**:

- Work hand-in-hand with senior leadership in the company, the development associates, the management company, state housing agencies, lenders, and consultants to create an effective strategy for the success of the projects and implement that strategy.
- Manage the closing process, including design, equity & debt negotiations, permitting, and regulatory and agency review.
- Lead and represent Winn in meetings with architects, engineers, other design professionals, the general contractor, building officials, and in community meetings.
- Attend regular, on-site project review meetings, for projects under construction.
- Provide leadership and mentoring through the management and coaching of the rising talent within the Development team.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field.
- 8-10 years of real estate development experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of affordable and mixed-income multifamily housing experience.
- 2-4 years of supervisory and mentoring experience.
- Proven understanding of affordable finance and experience working with various types of public and private real estate funding and state housing programs.
- Demonstrated ability to build and direct effective teams to manage major development projects.
- Ability to problem solve and manage several projects simultaneously through self-motivation, high energy, flexibility, and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to follow-through, focus, and be detail-oriented with a high sense of transparency and urgency.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Master's Degree in Real Estate, Planning or related field.
