**Position: JEWELRY ESTATE BUYER**
**Reports to**: Store Manager
**Status**: Hourly, Non-Exempt

**General Definition of Work**

The Jewelry Estate Buyer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing pre-owned jewelry pieces, including diamonds, gemstones, watches, and other valuable items. This position requires a keen eye for quality, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the jewelry market.

**Essential Functions**

- Sourcing and Acquisition: Identify and source pre-owned jewelry pieces from various channels including auctions, estate sales, private sellers, and other sources.
- Evaluation: Assess the authenticity, quality, and value of jewelry items, including diamonds, gemstones, watches, and antique pieces.
- Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms with sellers to ensure favorable purchase agreements.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about current market trends, pricing, and demand for jewelry items.
- Networking: Build and maintain relationships with jewelry industry contacts, including dealers, collectors, and auction houses.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchases, and sales transactions.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to sellers, ensuring a positive experience throughout the buying process.

**Minimum Qualifications**
