**Overview**

The indoor environmental field scientist (IEFS) conducts assessments of various INDOOR environments to determine conditions which may impact property value and occupant health. Through sample collection, sample analysis, collection of data points from site locations, the IEFS determines potential issues and provides recommendations based on findings. This position requires daily travel to various site locations, typically within 150 miles of Milwaukee, WI utilizing a company vehicle. At job sites indoor testing/data collection for various contaminants such as mold, smoke/soot, common allergens, asbestos, lead, VOCs are performed, on-site sample analysis utilizing various types of microscopy, and production of a written report for each individual address assessed is completed. While we complete assessments within 150 miles of Milwaukee, WI each day, we typically return to the office almost every evening with less than 7-10 overnight travel days per year. Significant on

- Minimum of 5 years valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Willing to take a preemployment drug test and pass background check
- Must be able to cross state lines without restriction or prior permission
- Must be able to work inside all property types with all types of occupants including, but not limited to, residential, commercial, health care, child-occupied facilities, schools, industrial, construction sites, etc.

- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in highly districting environments without frustration

- Have general math skills and do simple calculations without aid of device or calculator
- Assessment/Site Requirements_
- Ability to work on uneven, unlevel, wet, rough, or otherwise difficult terrain
- Ability to climb several flights of stairs with some equipment
- Carry 70 lbs. of equipment into job sites
- Willing and physically able to go into small/hard to enter spaces such as attics and crawl spaces
- Computer/App/Software_
- Type at least 30 words per minute
- Proficient on how to use a laptop with Windows OS
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Be proficient at using web browsers and search engines to obtain scientific data from credible sources
- Driving_
- Be able to drive any time of day without restriction
- Safely operate company passenger vehicle to get to and from job sites
- Drive 4 or more hours per day
- Operate vehicle safely in all weather conditions
- Drive in heavy city traffic, such as Chicago
- Scheduling_
- Availability M-F 7am to 6pm - scheduling is similar to a service technician scheduling and is not available days in advance
