The City of Sugar Land is seeking a full-time **Court Clerk I** in the Municipal Court Department**

**Summary of Duties**:
As an Court Clerk you will:

- Performs extensive data entry.
- Effectively assists the public in a friendly and efficient manner, both in person and via telephone.
- Receives and processes payments of fines, fees and court costs at the window as well as processes payments paid by credit card over the telephone and the Internet.
- Contacts defendants via phone on a weekly basis to update contact information and effectively explains state law, options and other relevant information to defendants.
