Cell Assembly Supervisor

**SUMMARY**

This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations within the Cell Assembly Department. The Cell Assembly Supervisor supervises the cell manufacturing production line that assembles lithium metal pouch cells. They create daily work schedules, answer workers’ questions about quality and processes or equipment. They follow SOP’s, and monitors work to meet the specifications of various products and meet production targets. They have thorough knowledge of all workstations under their supervision, which may include multiple manufacturing lines. Additionally, the supervisor maintains 5S standards, safety compliance, and up to date documentation and training. The supervisor must have strong organizational, communication and leadership skills. Also, ensuring the department stays on track and stepping in as needed to work. The Supervisor is responsible for helping identify and address constraints to make it an efficient and effective department.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Communicate with management, other departments, and master scheduling to understand the priorities.
- Organize and communicate the daily plan and progress to the team.
- Lead the team of technicians, approving time off and timecards.
- Identify and help address constraints and areas of improvement.
- Maintain up to date training.
- Perform routine housekeeping audits to ensure a safe work environment.
- Enforce and maintain Sion safety and environmental procedures.
- Implement and maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
- Step in and work when and wherever necessary to ensure the department stays on track.
- Understand all aspects of the Cell assembly department.
- Coordinate repairs and calibrations on equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting and calibration of equipment.
- Maintain department spare parts, supplies and tools list.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and regular inspections of equipment and work environment.

**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- Associate degree in STEM field preferred.
- 3 years of relevant assembly/manufacturing experience.
- 3-5 years of leadership experience preferred

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are a must.
- Ability to manage the needs of multiple departments and company priorities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Mechanically inclined and capable of independent action.
- Ability to read and write English, follow both written and verbal instructions/procedures.
- Must possess good computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Wear appropriate PPE when necessary.
