- Ensures file transfer processes occur to include Schedule information transfer into Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, Summons information to Supreme Court, Summons information to MIS database, and Geographic Information System (GIS) information to and from Viewpoint.
- Supports systems updates to include performing server software upgrades, testing new features, and other tasks to ensure system compliance and reliability.
- Supports new hardware and software testing.
- Coordinates work efforts with and provides backup/assistance to CAD Administrator.
- Performs testing and distribution of hardware as needed.
- Ensures E-citations and Mobile CAD legal code tables reflect current legal code.
- Updates reference files across systems to add new information and ensure all systems are in synch.
- Updates mapping files to ensure new roads and missing information is added.
- Adds hardware devices to system such as handheld scanners and in-vehicle printers.
- Provides technical guidance and performs training on systems in support of user needs and Agency goals.
- Creates training documentation and user guides.
- Assists with standardizing training/documentation on other dispatch related systems to include recording and phone systems.
- Responds to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests related to Global Positioning System (GPS), E-Citations and scheduling.
- Assists in budget planning to include yearly forecasting for maintenance and upgrade costing and project funding.
- Ensures that all other assigned duties are completed on time and accurately.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Skill in the use of personal computers, associated software

packages, hardware, and peripheral equipment; of working with databases to include writing Structured Query Language (SQL) statements to extract, update and delete data; and in troubleshooting hardware and software issues and compatibility.

**Additional Considerations**
- Previous experience with dispatch/law enforcement related systems such as Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) Mapping, Mobile CAD, scheduling software, dispatch phone and recording systems preferred.
- Previous Virginia State Police (VSP) dispatch experience preferred.
