The Architectural Sheet Metal Technician will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components used in building architecture. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of sheet metal properties and fabrication techniques.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Fabrication**: Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal to create components such as panels, trims, flashings, and other architectural elements.
- ** Installation**: Accurately install sheet metal components on various structures, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and secure fastening.
- ** Blueprint Interpretation**: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements and appropriate materials.
- ** Equipment Operation**: Operate sheet metal fabrication machinery such as shears, brakes, presses, and welding equipment.
- ** Quality Control**: Inspect finished products for accuracy, ensuring they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- ** Safety Compliance**: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- ** Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- ** Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members, including engineers, designers, and construction professionals, to achieve project goals.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in sheet metal fabrication preferred.
- ** Experience**: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in architectural sheet metal work or a related field.
- ** Technical Skills**: Proficiency in using hand and power tools, machinery, and welding equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- ** Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
- ** Attention to Detail**: Strong focus on precision and accuracy to ensure high-quality workmanship.
- ** Problem-Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during fabrication and installation.
- ** Communication**: Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with team members and reporting to supervisors.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in sheet metal fabrication or welding.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations related to sheet metal work.
