**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform blood draws and other phlebotomy procedures on patients safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Collect, label, and transport blood samples to the laboratory in compliance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all blood draws, ensuring the integrity and traceability of patient samples.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers, fostering a positive and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the timely and appropriate collection of blood samples for diagnostic testing and treatment purposes.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to maintain the highest standards of quality and safety in phlebotomy practices.
- Punctual and reliable with excellent attendance.
- Be proficient in Newborn Screens.

**Qualifications**:

- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques and practices, including specimen collection, handling, and transport.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in phlebotomy practices.
- Ability to work with mínimal to no supervision after the training period.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in using laboratory information systems.
- Strong physical and mental stamina to perform phlebotomy procedures safely and efficiently.
- Phlebotomy certification or 5+ years experience.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a phlebotomist in a clinical setting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in venipuncture techniques, sample handling, and laboratory procedures.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
- A valid driver's license is absolutely necessary for this position.
- Working knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including experience with patient registration, order entry, and results reporting.

This engagement represents an on-call, per diem contractual position that does not include any benefits. The contractor is not guaranteed a minimum number of work hours or days per week.

The contractor assumes responsibility for transportation to and from the job site.
