**Position Details and Functions**:

- Serve as secretary to the Director of Special Services
- Distribute a variety of items (e.g. sorts mail/packages, supplies, messages, paper work/reports, student records, transfer packets, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating materials to appropriate parties
- Maintain a variety of fiscal information, files, and records (e.g. budgets, expenditures, purchase orders, etc.) for the purpose of providing an up-to-date audit reference and audit trail for compliance.
- Maintain a variety of records and/or files (e.g. IEPs, assessment information, health plans, periodic reports, student transfer information, test scores, etc.) for the purpose of providing documentation for audit purposes and meeting state, federal and administrative requirements
- Perform record keeping and general clerical functions (e.g. proofreading, filing, copying, faxing, etc.) for the purpose of supporting departmental operations
- Prepare a variety of documents and materials (e.g. notes, standardized correspondence, calendars, student counts, IEP reminders, supplemental contracts, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to school and district personnel, the public, state officials, etc.
- Process documents, forms, reports and materials (e.g. special education transportation lists, reports, student records, mail, etc.) for the purpose of disseminating information, determining eligibility and/or completing transactions

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Solid Working Knowledge & Experience with Microsoft Office Products to Include a Substantial Understanding of Excel Spreadsheet Database Management, Professional Grade PowerPoint Presentations & Publisher, with the technological ability to quickly advance in new software as needed
- Two to Four years’ experience in an office setting
- High interpersonal relationship skills in dealing with fellow professionals, students and parents
- Excellent Typing Skills & Communication Skills, Both Written and Verbal
