Stanton Norfolk Inc. is a division of Asian Americans for Equality, Inc. (AAFE) that manages the day-to-day operations of over 800 units of affordable housing across nearly 50 multifamily properties serving over 1,100 individuals and families in Manhattan and Queens neighborhoods, including Chinatown/Lower East Side, Flushing, and the Far Rockaways. Currently, Stanton Norfolk’s portfolio is comprised of full tax credit / affordable properties, as well as commercial spaces as part of mixed-use buildings. Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization based in New York City. Through our affiliate, Renaissance Economic Development Corporation, AAFE supports immigrant entrepreneurs, offering low-interest loans and training programs. From neighborhood offices in Chinatown and the Lower East Side (Manhattan) and Flushing and Jackson Heights (Queens) we provide an array of multilingual counseling and educational programs in support of low-income tenants, seniors and immigrant youth. AAFE strives for a more equitable city, through research, advocacy and grassroots community organizing.

The Maintenance Coordinator is the staff member support the Property Management team in coordination of repairs and maintenance. And ensuring maintaining good relations with tenants / residing in the buildings under the supervision of the Facility Manager to ensure quality service and stability of the properties managed by Stanton Norfolk Inc.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Maintain good relations with tenants by offering helpful and courteous phone and in-person reception
- Answer and direct all incoming calls accordingly
- Greet all visitors, answer and assist their inquiries to the best of your abilities
- Maintain office appearance as neat and organized
- Coordinate between professional contractor, tenants and maintenance colleague to ensure maintenance and repair are proper and completed in satisfaction
- Coordinate Porters and Handymen to respond to tenants’ maintenance requests
- Assist order maintenance supplies and keep track of inventory
- Properly document and submit all maintenance expenditure receipts / invoices for payments
- Generate weekly maintenance reports and monthly inventory reports
- Properly secure and store away all apartment and building keys.
- Assist and provide translation for Chinese speaking tenant
- Properly record and file away all corresponding documents
- Assist with general office administration and any other task assigned by Director of Property Management

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- 1 yr experience working as an Office Clerk or Administrative Assistant is required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, to work on several tasks at once while paying attention to details.
- Ability to interact and build meaningful relationships with suppliers, maintenance staff and managers.
- Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel,
- Familiarity with YARDI preferred.
- _ Must be Bilingual in English/Chinese or English Spanish_
