**Summary**

As a Floating Teacher in our play-based early childhood program, you'll have the exciting opportunity to work across various classrooms and age groups, providing support and assistance where needed. Your role is dynamic and flexible, allowing you to engage with children of different ages and developmental stages while contributing to the overall success of our program.

**Duties**

Key Responsibilities:

- Flexibility and Adaptability: Serve as a versatile member of our teaching team, adapting seamlessly to different classrooms, routines, and teaching styles. Embrace the opportunity to work with children ranging from infants to preschoolers, supporting lead teachers and assisting with daily activities as assigned.
- Curriculum Support: Assist lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum activities that promote learning and engagement across various age groups. Provide additional support during circle time, small group activities, outdoor play, and transitions, ensuring a stimulating and enriching educational experience for all children.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, supportive, and organized classroom environment while supporting lead teachers in managing behavior, facilitating smooth transitions, and promoting positive social interactions among children. Foster a sense of community and belonging within each classroom you assist.
- Individualized Attention: Offer individualized attention and support to children who may require additional assistance or encouragement, ensuring that each child's unique needs, interests, and developmental milestones are addressed effectively.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate closely with lead teachers, assistant teachers, and other staff members to ensure continuity of care and consistency in program implementation. Communicate openly and effectively with colleagues, sharing insights, strategies, and resources to enhance teaching practices and promote positive outcomes for children.
- Parent Communication: Build positive relationships with parents and caregivers through open, respectful communication. Provide regular updates on children's progress, experiences, and developmental milestones, and respond promptly to parent inquiries and concerns.
- Professional Development: Take advantage of opportunities for ongoing professional development and learning. Stay current on best practices in early childhood education, child development research, and play-based learning approaches to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge as an educator.

**Requirements**:
Qualifications:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting, with exposure to multiple age groups and classroom environments.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and support diverse teaching teams.
- Adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to embrace new challenges and experiences.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
- Ability to meet state licensing requirements for childcare providers.
