- Through academic affiliations with the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the University of Southern California (USC), and the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Sciences (CDU), DHS hospitals are training sites for physicians completing their Graduate Medical Education in nearly every medical specialty and subspecialty. In addition to its direct clinical services, DHS also runs the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency and the County's 911 emergency response system, as well as Housing for Health and the Office of Diversion and Re-entry, each with a critical role in connecting vulnerable populations, including those released from correctional and institutional settings to supportive housing.**MISSION**:

Conducts statistical research and analysis, and collects, compiles verifies, analyzes, and interprets statistical records and reports of program projects and activities of the Department of Health Services, or independently carries out the more routine statistical projects.

**Essential Job Functions**:
Provide customer service by assisting supervisors/managers and executives in troubleshooting, processing, and completing PEs in addition to interpreting Performance Evaluation reports.

Monitor the Regulatory Compliance mailbox by answering questions and assisting employees, supervisors and managers with questions relating to Performance Evaluations and the supervisor/employee reporting structure. Direct additional questions unrelated to Regulatory Compliance to the correct department/division.

Analyze and troubleshoot DHS system issues: Performance Evaluation system, SUPRM in the Electronic Human Resource (e-HR) system, Power BI.

Analyze data to compile performance evaluations (PEs) reports for all of DHS and develop customized reports for DHS executives to show departmental PE compliance, delinquencies and target goals.

Complete data driven special assignments for the division director.

Train new hires to the Performance Evaluation Unit.

Provide one on one and group instruction/training to supervisors/managers on how to utilize the Performance Evaluation system and DHS specific systems.

Make recommendations to DHS Performance Evaluation policy guidelines of professional conduct to assure adherence to DHS standards.

Participate in the review of official language for preliminary DHS executive leadership Performance Evaluation policies, documents and reports.

**Requirements**:
**SELECTION REQUIREMENTS**:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution with specialization in a Health Science, Behavioral Science, Biological Science or Statistics, including two semester or three quarter courses in biostatistics, statistics or research methods.

**Physical Class II** - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

**LICENSE**: A valid California Class “C” Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.

**DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS**:
Additional credit will be given to applicants that possess the following desirable qualifications:

- Performance Fundamentals Certification by Cornerstone
- Experience as an administrator for an electronic Personnel Records System
- Experience as an administrator for updating and managing an electronic HR Management System

- Accredited institutions are those listed in the publications of regional, national or international accrediting agencies which are accepted by the Department of Human Resources. Publications such as American Universities and Colleges and International Handbook of Universities are acceptable references. Also acceptable, if appropriate, are degrees that have been evaluated and deemed to be equivalent to degrees from United States accredited institutions by an academic credential evaluation agency recognized by The National Association of Credential Evaluation Services or the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc.
