Kid Care Attendant

The Kids Care Attendant is responsible for the development, supervision and coordination of various group activities related to children enrolled in kids care programs at OSCW. These activities may include but are not limited to special events, knowledge enhancement, and fitness while taking into account safety considerations.

Kids Care Operating Hours:
Monday - Thursday 4:00PM-7:00PM

Weekends 8:00AM - 11:00AM

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Maintain a fun and engaging environment for all ages
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children while in OSCW Kids Care
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to provide updates on their children enrolled in Kids Care
- Work with supervisor to implement and develop age appropriate group activities (i.e. crafts, reading)
- Assist with implementation of a strategic plan around children’s care and activities that supports the mission of OSCW and complies with all applicable laws, rules and regulations
- Utilize computer software to properly track check-in and check-out of children enrolled in OSCW Kids Care
- Report any incidents or accidents to Operations Manager

**ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Support the OSCW management team in the daily operation of the OSCW facilities
- Facilitate training and fitness resources by holding classes
- Promote sales functions by promoting fitness programs

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must have 1-2 years experience working with children of varying ages
- Associate’s Degree in Education, Child Development or the equivalent in credentials or experience (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid Certification required
- Additional certification and/or licensure, as may be required by local, state, and/or federal law
- High degree of practical and creative abilities enabling him/her to plan and design activities
- Proficiency in arts and crafts or sports desired
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform (i.e. sites, slides, drive, docs, sheets)

- Communicator: You possess strong communication skills and have the ability to build and maintain a culture of trust and respect. This is a critical skill when dealing with staff, parents and children.
- Adaptability: You are extremely patient and able to adjust to new programs and activities that will benefit the children.
- Self-motivated: You can work with a minimum of supervision and be capable of strategically prioritizing multiple tasks in a proactive manner.
- Team Oriented: You are capable of embracing the ideas of others (even if they conflict with your own) for the sake of the company and client.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:

- Work primarily in a climate controlled environment.
- This is a fitness club environment which provides unique safety/health hazard potential. It is important to take all necessary precautions and support others on risk mitigation to include proper hydration, and safe use of fitness equipment.
