Install Technician

**About You**:We are looking for a **Low Voltage Technician** for the installation, termination, inspection, maintenance, repair, service, wire pulling and certification of commercial fire alarm and security systems. Upon starting with LVC Companies, you will be required to be a member of IBEW 640.

**Compensation/Benefits**:Pay rate of $25-$35/hr. Company issued laptop and cell phone. Paid holidays and vacations. 100% employer paid health insurance including dental and vision. Company paid life insurance. Opportunity for a company vehicle and gas card.

**Essential Functions**:

- Installation of electronic cable as per specifications and NEC codes
- Basic wiring and installation of hardware used in fire alarm and security systems
- Operation of cable testing equipment to ensure system performance
- Plan and initiate projects
- Install and service electronic fire and security systems
- Strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry
- Install Pathways and Spaces for Installation of Low Voltage Wiring
- Lay Out, Install and Verify Operation of Security and Access Control Systems
- Install Communications and Sound Distribution Systems
- Meet all installation deadlines
- Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items
- Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program
- Strong understanding of Local Fire Code, NFPA 72, NEC 70 and other applicable codes
- Ability to maintain or acquire local licenses and/or required certifications

**Qualifications**:

- High School Degree or equivalent
- An Associate's degree in electronics is preferred
- Minimum of two years industry experience. (Industry experience will be considered on an individual basis.)
- A working knowledge of low voltage systems is required
